Family Treatment

A major consequence of substance abuse is the destruction of healthy family relationships, and a major step on the path to recovery is the restoration of those broken bonds. It is an important part of recovery for clients and families to foster understanding, address conflict, and build support systems. We guide the client and family through the treatment process in the most humane, compassionate way possible, and provide them with the education and care they need to help their loved one through recovery. Families become fully informed, active participants so they themselves can heal along with the patient.

Family Therapy

Uniting clients with their loved ones for combined therapy sessions helps the entire family discover valuable insights. Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that helps family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Compassion Behavioral Health offers weekly family therapy sessions. Family members have the opportunity to have a family session and a visitation with their loved one. Family members are also contacted on a weekly basis to update on progress of their loved one.
